It has been a while since the last update, and a lot of progress has happened during that time. Many improvements went to combat, visuals, performance, and dungeon variety.
New Content and Combat Improvements
A new enemy has joined the dungeon – the Infernal Skeleton. These cursed warriors wield powerful magic and attack from a distance by hurling devastating Firebolts at their enemies. Their ability to keep their distance while dealing heavy damage makes them one of the more dangerous foes you can encounter in the early levels.
Several new gameplay additions were introduced during this period.
A new spell, Ice Bolt, has been added to the spell arsenal, bringing another elemental option to combat.

Enemy encounters have received a larger redesign as well. Instead of monsters appearing as completely random combinations, enemies can now spawn in thematic groups or bands. This creates more believable encounters, such as an Imp Mage leading a group of lesser Imps or a Skeleton Captain fighting alongside regular Skeletons.
Ranged enemy behavior was also significantly improved. Enemies now maintain their distance properly, making ranged combat much more tactical. Projectile interactions were refined as well. Spells and arrows correctly collide with obstacles while still passing through open doorways as expected.
Missed Firebolts also continue flying through the dungeon until they hit something, creating more dynamic and believable combat moments.
Visual and World Improvements
The dungeon received many visual upgrades during this period.
A new cave variant was added to increase environmental variety. Cave formations were redesigned with improved shadows and more natural shapes. Water received several improvements as well, including better reflections, shoreline transparency, and distortion effects around shorelines.
Abyss edges, and lava field got these improvements too.

Torches now include proper environmental audio that reacts to player distance and visibility, adding more atmosphere to exploration. Monster positional audio was also improved, making encounters feel more immersive.
Several rendering improvements also cleaned up visual artifacts, including proper ground shadows, improved wall rendering, and a number of smaller texture fixes.
Performance and Stability
A lot of work went into making the game run smoother and more reliably.
Rendering performance improved significantly, with some scenes rendering roughly twice as fast after optimization. Reflection rendering was also heavily optimized, reducing its cost by around 75%.
Many smaller gameplay issues and edge cases were resolved as different systems started interacting with each other. Movement, inventory, animations, spells, and user interactions all received numerous fixes and refinements, resulting in a more polished overall experience.
That’s all for now!
